BENGAWAN RIVER AND BOTO RIVER STUDY REPORT OF TULUNGAGUNG DISTRICT

Water is one component that cannot be separated from human life. Without water, humans would die, living things would die, and the earth would be very hot. One of the sources of water on earth comes from rivers. The river is easier to find, because there are many around us. However, due to human activity, many rivers have become dirty, not functioning as they should. Dirty rivers, in fact, become a den of disease for humans. Even though the river has a million benefits for humans. The extraordinary benefits of the river can actually benefit humans themselves.
PPLH Mangkubumi in collaboration with the Surabaya Brantas River Basin Center from October to December 2019 conducted a field study on the Bengawan and Kaliboto rivers of Tulungagung Regency which aims to (1) Get an up-to-date picture of the landscape and lifescape of the Kaliboto River and Bengawan River; (2). Formulating the problems and potentials of Kali Boto River and Kali Bengawan River; (3) Prepare recommendations for the management of the Boto River and Bengawan River.

The expected results from the activities of the Boto River and Bengawan River tracing activities are (1) Availability of data on the actual conditions of the riverbanks of the Brantas River; (2) Recommendations for the management of Kali Boto and Kali Bengawan Rivers as part of BBWS Bratas.
